Are there any good FOSS apps that can convert videos to gifs?

I remember Video transcoder from the past. It does not seem to be in Fdroid currently, as it is probably too old.

Checking out @fdroid in earnest for once (hope this is the Fdroid official account) and it looks a bit intimidating but still want to explore! Fastfrwrd could probably list ourselves there as a green social app. Anything to get away from Playstore!

Hello, I'm looking for a gallery app that can tag images and can display pictures inside compressed files, mainly .zip and hopefully .kra.

Currently I'm using Aves, which is really good at tagging, but it can't show images inside .zip or .kra.

To study I need to used at least 2 pdf files at the same time in windowed mode (so I see file A to the left and file B to the right, or file A on top and file B on bottom). I cannot do that with fossify file manager.

It is good. Animations or pictures beyond the selected size are replaced by a red border. Clicking it will load that image. Or you can temporarily turn it off for the website and reload the tab.

There is an option to exclude Websites from from it too. e.g. You can exclude Lemmy instances where you want to see images by default.

Pretty much what the title implies. I enjoy the feature itself and find it useful for browsing and discovering applications on F-Droid that I didn't know existed, but there are certain categories of applications that I have no use for and would find it easier to filter them out rather than ignore.

As you can see in the screenshot there are a couple of parts of the F-Droid application page in F-Droid that are in a different language. This isn't actually the first time I have seen this and is not limited to the F-Droid application. Currently it's just this one, but in the past I have had more apps than not displaying some or all of their content in a different language despite my phone being configured for English.

I've been using Tusky for browsing mastodon for a while and really enjoyed its experience. But then they moved the boost button all the way down to the bottom of the screen and that's just too much traveling for my thumb. What used to be a seamless experience has been dragged out, and enlarged to take up a quarter of the screen.

I tried switching to Husky for a few days but its missing some key functions I like about Tusky, like being able to follow and block hashtags, and change "load more" behavior to open up instead of down. It seems to be more a Plemora thing anyway.

I don't have the skills to fork Tusky, so I'm wondering if there's a way to basically undo an update. How do I get back to an earlier version?
