The title is a bit misleading, as the article lists diverging analysts' opinions, ranging from Valve willing to sell at a loss or low margins, to high prices due to RAM and SSD price volatility.

FYI The Windows License is more like $20-$40. The OEM Version costs $40 retail and MSI has probably a better deal. That's how Microsoft got Windows on nearly every prebuilt PC since the mid 90ies.
