Funnily enough:

• Windows is my 'utilitarian' OS (stripped bared and neutered for 3D stuff and nothing else). It just works. As long as it stays neutered.

• Linux is where I spend most of my time and is more optimal for basically everything other than realtime GPU rendering. But is less reliable in of itself.

• OSX, on family Macs, is actually neat because of Metal. It can do some niche things none of my PCs can. And it can do things absolutely not possible on Asahi linux

• ...I dunno about BSD.
