Talk Talk Talk (1981) by The Psychedelic Furs – 12” 33RPM LP.

My wife hates this record. But I can’t help thinking if she’d been born just five years earlier, she’d be all over it.

Because this album really was a moment in time. “Pretty in Pink” wasn’t just a standout track—it was iconic enough to inspire the film of the same name.

I’ve always had a soft spot for The Psychedelic Furs: sharp post-punk, unmistakable vocals, and pure early-80s atmosphere.

Vinyl record of Talk Talk Talk by The Psychedelic Furs. The cover features a collage of black-and-white band member portraits overlaid with blocks of bright colors—purple, green, and orange—arranged in a pop-art style. The album title runs vertically along the right side in bold black letters: “TALK • TALK • TALK,” while the band name “THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS” appears across the top. The record sleeve is propped upright on a wooden stand, with part of a reel-to-reel tape deck visible below.

@atomicpoet @recordpics I can still picture buying that album with three others, going home and having them all be excellent. Big-time inspiration. I'd see them up close a year or two later. Terrific show.
