Anyone having issuses that @zed editor (preview v1.18) tells me my free usage limit is over but I wasn't even using that, I used openrouter (BYOK). Maybe it was only on the server side.... and not the editor code itself?

I did a summer thing: github.com/0xdea/ttyinject-rsIt’s a simple #rust port of @thc’s ttyinject, created mostly as an excuse to try out @zed’s remote development feature via SSH (TL;DR it works pretty well, but there are some rough edges here and there). The old-school technique behind the #exploit is fascinating, you might not know it. Too bad it’s sort of obsolete now.

Spent some time messing around with @zed over the weekend and the vibes were good. I also kinda like that its folks who made Atom and then got shut down by Microsoft starting over from scratch. Still need to figure out dev container, OpenRouter, & Co-Pilot setup.zed.dev/

Am I doing something wrong or does @zed’s Claude ACP adapter not render the ask question prompt? Opus is way more eager about asking questions recently, so I notice it just hangs after it finishes responding, which I assume means it wanted to use the question prompt.

I've been using @zed but this editor/agent split screen is really annoying when opening a new, blank, window. There was no setting, that I could find, to disable this. Opened a feature request to add agent.newWindow: false or agent.start_open: falsegithub.com/zed-industries/zed/

Came back to Zed after a bit and now can’t authenticate with Copilot for edit suggestions? Keeps saying an error occurred, and I should reinstall, but the error persists. @zed Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks to @zed @kiesraad and #rustweek for accommodating the @bevy flock at your hackathon!11 pull requests to explore what could be the next bevy-powered editor, improving error handling, feedback loop and localization were on the menu 🤩

Question for #devcontainer experts: should the container stop when you exit the editor/IDE? Or when you close the project in the editor/IDE? Or neither, and it just stays running? (If it matters, I'm using @zed.)

OK, I have created my own #devcontainer image and I have started testing it with @zed using a small project. So far, so good.

Once I get the hang of using @zed the next step is to switch all my personal projects to use Devcontainers. You can bank on the fact I'll be pestering @usrbinkat with all my questions during that process. LOL!

I'm really trying to get the hang of using @zed (switching from Sublime Text). I like the speed, but you can tell there are some rough edges here and there.

Switch to @zed please @marcoarment you will love. Perfect balance of AI, fast rendering, and Apple like polish.

#Tech post...I went down so many rabbit holes today... @zed was failing to code-complete and just seemed to be broken in multiple ways...After a total removal and reinstall, and some zed.log deep diving, I got it back how I need after 6 hours.Strong suspicion that some behaviours changed with recent updates though I can't be sure what. It's still better than the alternatives (Pulsar & VSCodium) but it's damn finicky at times. And code completion performance sucks on an M1 Mac.
