That's awesome. It helps that the three "C" cities are pretty inclusive. Ive heard a lot of LGBTQIA+ peeps are moving into Ohio lately. I can only assume they're coming from mostly southern hellholes, like Florida. With all the gerrymandering going on here, I don't think you can call Ohio purple anymore.

One of the most white flight built suburbs in all of Dayton.

Its a deeply racist place adjacent to deeply racist miami county, plus that's where the airport is. It is Trump's perfect enclave of shit for brains.

Ohio is businesses friendly and Beavercreek is definitely a conservative suburb. People just do not like seeing small businesses bullied by large players. I stopped going to bucees after the lawsuit and given the reaction after the suit I won't be going back again.

    Thank you for posting this.

Local protest information is incredibly difficult to find outside of Facebook and Instagram. I'm amazed that so many organizations still post protest announcements exclusively on fascist-controlled platforms.

Georgraphically Ohio may be better suited to weather the effects of climate change.

Demographically, a larger and more diverse population is more likely to oust the biggots that have seized power in Ohio, by one way or another.

And, Cincinnati is pretty liberal relative to the rest of Ohio.

Stufflebeam v. Harris, 06-4046 (8th Cir. 2008) ruled that it is unconstitutional for police to request identification of a vehicle passenger without reasonable suspicion that they are engaging in criminal conduct. Just another way that Republicans are trying strip away our rights in Ohio

They are focusing on issues they have universal condemnation, and are undeniably the responsibility of the current regime.

If you try to rally around big picture issues, you better be sure everyone seems the same big picture, and agrees on what should be done and how to do it and who should do it.

There are people who think the war in Iran is gong great. There are those that think it's going poorly, but that we can and should win. There are those that recognize it's a disaster, but believe that it was necessary, or at least desirable to take action against Iran, just not like this.

But everyone hates high gas prices.

As a person who lives in Ohio, which is "flyover country" as far as most of the US is concerned, it's interesting to see any attention focused on it.

But it's dispiriting to see that in the face of an actual Fascist coup, the opposition is focusing on little-picture stuff like gas prices. That is to say: Inflation and "affordability" are real problems, I just have a hard time believing they're going to be solved in and of themselves. The oligarchs don't care about making daily life easy or hopeful for ordinary people, quite the opposite.

the phrasing "who exhibit a gender identity that is different from the performer’s . . . biological sex" makes me feel like they would try to apply this to mean no trans person could be a "performer"
