This is an objective, unbiased ranking in the same vein as the NFL Title Belt. As such, the number 1 ranked team will always be the same as the current NFL Title Belt holder.

This is Week 8 of the NFL Title Rankings of the 2026 season. See here for last week's results.

5 of the 14 games ended with the lower ranked team winning. The largest jump was the Packers who jumped 16 spots after they beat the Panthers. The Cardinals are the lowest ranked team to win their game.

The Giants had a bye to keep first and the NFL Title Belt. The Eagles will have a chance to beat the Giants and take first. With the Chargers loss to the Rams, the Chargers will remain last.

Let me know if you’d like to see more of this, if you’re curious about how I came up with these rankings, or if you noticed any mistakes.

On Friday, the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department released a batch of records related to Packers running back Josh Jacobs’s domestic violence arrest in May. The records reveal that while police were investigating the May incident, they were contacted by three other women who said Jacobs abused them in the past. One document describes a phone conversation…

This is an objective, unbiased ranking in the same vein as the NFL Title Belt. As such, the number 1 ranked team will always be the same as the current NFL Title Belt holder.

As stated last week, this week was late.

This is Week 7 of the NFL Title Rankings of the 2026 season. See here for last week's results.

7 of the 14 games ended with the lower ranked team winning. The largest jump was the Giants who jumped 29 spots after they beat the Texans. The Cowboys are the lowest ranked team to win their game.

The Giants beat the Texans to take first and the NFL Title Belt. No team will face the Giants in week 8, and therefore no team can take first from the Giants. With the Dolphins win over the Jets, the Chargers dropped to last on their bye week. A bye week team dropped to last two weeks in a row. The Chargers will have a chance to move out of last next week when they play the Rams (they don't).

Let me know if you’d like to see more of this, if you’re curious about how I came up with these rankings, or if you noticed any mistakes.

The NFL and NFL Players Association are working together to review the handling of Jalen Hurts’ blood clot diagnosis.

The league and players’ union released a joint statement Sunday saying they are looking into it after the NFLPA called for an investigation earlier in the week.

Hurts was placed on injured reserve and is expected to miss the rest of the season after a blood clot in his left calf traveled to his lungs. The Eagles and agent Nicole Lynn said Monday that Hurts has deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli.

His treatment involves blood thinners, and Hurts will not be allowed to participate in any football activities until he is off them.

Earlier in the week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league welcomed an investigation after Dr. Allen Sills, the league’s chief medical officer, gave a passionate defense of the team’s medical staff.

Instead of getting rid of the games I have a proposal. The players weren't really playing and injured players were being replaced because they couldn't play.

I want a team of each position. The winner of each position is the captain or coach. It doesn't matter if they are injured, they don't have to actually play. So there will be 4 teams of each position. Though some positions could be combined, like kickers/punters and right/left tackle. They pick from the runner ups to get a full roster, including 2nd and 3rd string if needed. Anyone who doesn't want to play doesn't have to. AFC and NFC play themselves and just have a winning team for each one.

Shorten the games, so its a half or even just a quarter. Loosen up the rules, except for hits. Bad hits are a no go, but that means runners/receivers should try to go down easier. Make it more like backyard games. I think this would make the players more engaged. They would be playing with people they actually like, wouldn't have to worry about getting hurt, and it wouldn't take up as much time. It could help get an understanding of other positions, so coaches could be more for it as well.

Mostly though, I just want a team of quarterbacks. Also centers trying to kick/punt. Running backs as linemen. It's not like I came up with this whole plan because I want Josh Allen to play as a running back. That would be crazy!
