"Magic Notes" Trademark. I wonder if this predates the ™ symbol.

Is that the same Paul Reubens who played The Spleen in Mystery Men?
Here is the image of the label on the other side.

This album was pretty mellow. I think I need to listen to it again to see how I feel about it, but it was easy to listen to.
This album has been stuck in my head for days, so I think I like it quite a bit. Thanks for sharing it.
That's ok - upon a few relistens, I don't think it's the strongest song on the album. Like the instrumentation but get the sing-song bit.
And hey, I know I'm not personally judging comments on depth and originality! All comments are good comments, we're just happy you're here and hearing this stuff :)
Oh, I like that album cover with the photoshop wolves. It's fun.
I didn't like 'One and One'--something about it grated for me. (A bit sing-song?) But I listened to the rest of the album and enjoyed it. It's a good album to listen to while I'm doing my weekend chores this morning.
(I feel like my comments are probably kinda shallow and repetitive. I don't know a lot about music, but I've been trying to broaden my horizons lately.)
Oh this was fun. Definitely can tell it's from the late 90s because it has a very nostalgic feel for me. It's funny how a song can evoke a time and place like that.
I don't think I've listened to this type of music much before. I did like it.
Definitely a dark topic, though given the direction humanity seems to be headed, maybe more people should hear and think about historical events like Hiroshima. The lyrics seem pretty blunt and straightforward about the topic--not really any obfuscation in the meaning. Probably being too 'clever' with the topic would be disrespectful anyway.
I particularly enjoyed that spoken-word track.
There was a static sound on some parts. Intentional, I think?
I did like the rest of it. It was mostly quite mellow.
Definitely feel the 'driving down a quiet road' vibes like you mentioned.
Incidentally, if you dig dark folky bluegrassy stuff, you could do worse than dig through the bands who've played at the Black and Bluegrass Festival in the Ottawa Valley, or check out this year's edition in person once there's more details!
Interesting connection! Wondering that myself now.
Lol, six days later I can't help but wonder how you felt about the rest of it. Otherside and Preacher Boy have been on repeat in my place more than once recently.
Definitely dig the vibe of the posted track though - feeling I get is 'late night drive between nightlife venues at 0200'.
Oh, they're from BC! Nice.
The sound makes me think of 'RPG town music.' Can just picture walking around and chatting with people and shopping.
Edit: I wonder if the 'Mustard Seed' song is a reference to the Kamloops homeless shelter with that name in addition to the plant.
Montreal, to Hong Kong - where have all the good people gone, indeed?
Though I note some of 'em are here :)
I liked that one. Kinda relaxing. I'll try listening to the rest of the album.
can't always be posting about relatively/extremely niche artists ALL the time.

J/k, good write up, Tokyo Police Club is pretty solid indie rock alt stuff.
Nice! This is a new band for me, I'd been wanting to branch out and hear some more of the newer bands from the Maritimes! I may make this band one of the upcoming featured artists.
Love these guys, they're essentially Canadian Dragonforce lol
Oh, I liked this. Something about it reminds me of Ocarina of Time. Also has the kind of soothing/repetitive feel that I like in a stim song.
Edit: Listened to the rest of the album. Kinda reminds me of when I was a teen living in a small town just kinda wandering around bored with my friends looking for something to do.
We're just glad you're here
Lol, a Vintage Vibe video taken from Much Vibe. It's like vintage-ception up in here.
Thanks for sharing this!
I can dig it. Big fan of Elder and this has similar vibes.
Bonus if you dug this: Feel It
Now that's more like it. When Bowie died, every part of the world I could perceive just shrugged and went on. I couldn't understand why it wasn't like when Elvis or Jackson died. Christ, even Liberace got more than one news cycle.
