If only we had a third party or something.

And we could, but a lot of our fellow lefties don't really want to engage in electoral politics. This community is a good example. A of their critics of the DNC are valid, but want to miss the point of harm minimization. Forming a third party and voting for it should be our goal in blue states. Either the DNC shifts there to adopt our platform or risk a spoil. And if they still chose to lose we now have our own electoral infrastructure and don't need them (which is the long term goal). In red states we don't have much room to manoeuvre and minimizing harm might be the only path. I also get that many anarchist just don't want to participate, but if they help build a third party we can have more room to build our local community stuff. I get we want it all right now, but stuff takes time and efforts we haven't put in.

And I maintain that none of this matters because the DNC and the Democrat establishment would rather lose elections than risk alienating their wealthy/corporate donors by being in any way connected to any actual leftism.

I understand the democrats have no idea what they're doing, but do you really want the republicans ruining the country? If only we had a third party or something.

You keep making claims without offering any sources for them. Like hell we know American voter turnout is low, doubly so for quite a few red states, but that's not enough to back up your claim that it's leftists not voting that's tipping the scale rather than centrists or undecided people. Like you have still offered no proof that leftists aren't showing up.

"Vote blue no matter who" crowd on their way to solely blame (realistically) 50-100k leftists who abstained either due to their views on electorialism or Palestine.

I've seen so much braindead shit online about the loss and "what could be done different", like statistics showing that if only uni educated people voted then Kamala would have won and people supporting this idea, making lists of every leftist who said they wouldn't vote to punish them later or something, prohibiting MAGA voters from voting ever again, etc. These same people then proceed to cry fascism.

If all college DSA, greens, and such showed up several races could have tipped due to how few Rs showed too…

...and if someone had treated them like constituents instead of hostages, they might have. Democrats consider such behavior beneath them. Who do those children think they are? Dick Cheney?

Go to the .ml serversvand remind them why its important and that there are more than just presidential elections.

Yeah, we know. It's why your wing of the party is trying so hard to ratfuck Mamdani and Fateh. And why they succeeded in ratfucking David Hogg. It's why they ratfucked Jessica Cisneros, Jamaal Bowman, and Cori Bush.

You saw people objecting to genocide and decided to defend one of its supporters. A genocide supporter who is no longer running. She is no longer politically relevant, but the genocide still is. We need a candidate who doesn't support genocide. We needed such a candidate in 2024.

But since centrist democrats didn't want such a candidate, we weren't given an opportunity to vote for one, either in the primaries or in the general. Congratulations on your win. You got what you wanted in the primaries, and you got what you were ok with in the general. Now lecture people who are suffering about how privileged they are to have two parties that consider them expendable.

Did you go to the primary?

    Yes.

No its to your lack of pragmatism

I vote for progressives in the primary, even though the genocide happy wing of the party, your genocide happy wing of the party, makes sure that the primaries are kabuki where we don't get a choice. I voted for harris in the general.

you are privileged enough to not care

You care a great deal. You just want the genocide to continue and you got your only fucking wish.

Maybe democrats should offer an alternative instead of just slightly less of the same shit.

Did you go to the primary?

Your objection is to the genocide opposition.

No its to your lack of pragmatism in voting for progressives were possible and not careing about harm minimization where not because you are privileged enough to not care
