I'm psyched to see that Alla Xul Elu is on this.

For anyone that's down with Alla Xul Elu, they are dropping new merch. Including a remaster of their Sci Co album.

Source:

• a copy of the documentary, poor quality but SFW (as shown on MTV?): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TIn9dpRwGs
• another copy, very very poor quality, only watch if the others are not available: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nF6PXYtshE
• another copy? you have to sign in to see it bc it "may be inappropriate" and I didn't feel like it so I dunno: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn3g2gzgjfM
• another copy, poor quality, does not bleep out the profanity (as shown in NL - Dutch subtitles?): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKgNcG68S_E

Apparently this was also released on VHS in 98 and reissued on DVD in 2004.

One of the group's first projects with Island Records was an hour-long documentary titled Shockumentary, which aired on MTV. The station initially refused to play the documentary, but Island Records persuaded them to air it as a personal favor.[28] Shockumentary helped increase album sales from 17,000 to 50,000 copies per week.[28]

I just recently picked up a physical copy of The Amazing Jeckel Brothers. It's really a nostalgic feeling to get a new physical CD that has a detailed insert like this one does. It made me really sad though to read through the credits and thanks though. So many people named in there that they are no longer on good terms with. And just the extent of it saying they'll be down for life and all that. Stuff happens in everyone's life but it's just sad to think how those relationships fell apart. The text from the insert is at the bottom of the linked page if you care to read it.

The documentary is here (NSFW, some nudity): https://vimeo.com/29589320

Basically they interviewed a bunch of people at a Gathering. More info: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2062478/

The original version was an anthem for sure. I actually forgot about this version until I was listening to Forgotten Freshness 4 today. It can’t beat the original, but damn I love this one.

What's your fave flave, homies?

Creme Soda for me.

This weeks episode went up yesterday. I'll try to remember next Thursday and post on the day.

👍

I know not everyone likes him, but new album out today. I personally had written Ouija off pretty quickly, but I had a change of heart after giving him a second chance. I haven't listened through this yet, but I'm going to start it up here soon.
