Players kept asking what "+damage" actually meant, so I redid the bonus picker in my little 8-bit RPG.

Now each card says it plainly, like "+12% damage (40 → 45 per hit)". One card gets a ⭐ Recommended tag with a short reason why.

You start with 3 cards. Later it's 4, and 5 after you prestige. They have rarity too, common up to legendary, and legendary gets a rainbow shimmer because why not.

Another thing a player pointed out: in the pixel font, "2s", "5s" and "8s" all looked the same. So timers now say "5 sec" in a clearer font. Tiny change, lots of thanks.

Anyone else had a pixel font bite them like that?

Hello! I'm working on a cleaning/farming game called Goreticulture and am looking to get some fresh eyes on a playable build. It's similar to Viscera Cleanup (bloody with dismembered body parts all over the place) with some farming + light automation mechanics. There's a tutorial area in the hub, one test level to clean up, and a lo-fi radio to listen while you play. And there's no AI! Everything is hand made by my small team or licensed from human authors.

You can try it now by downloading from itch (you can use the itch app for slightly better security) or I can send a steam key if you'd rather. It probably works on deck though the spawn area in the hub needs some work on performance. Any feedback is welcome, there's an in-game reporting tool or you can message here or on discord. Thank you for your time and I hope you have fun!

I recently decided to ditch my ancient WordPress portfolio and build a new site from scratch.

Because I wanted to show off a little bit, I decided I wanted to make it into a 2D side-scroller using Little.js. The issue was figuring out how I could keep the site accessible.

I just wrote the first blog post in a series on how I am making that very site.
The site is still a work in progress; but I felt this could interest people here. And it gives me a chance to test out the blog feature I just coded in.

been working on a game called Wilderkin League for a while and finally feel good enough about it to share.

it's an auto-battler (think TFT / Super Auto Pets) where you build a team from 10 animal species. the interesting part is the synergy system — 95+ abilities that interact across species. no installer, no account, runs entirely in the browser.

https://wilderkinleague.com/

would love any feedback, especially on the difficulty curve and which synergies feel most satisfying.
