I just started playing the game today, and honestly it's like a real breath of fresh air. The characters are charming, the visual style is nice, the gameplay is engaging without being overly complicated, and the story knows what it wants to be and isn't trying to reinvent the wheel.

Anyone who's been looking for a turn-based Final Fantasy game is doing themselves a disservice if they don't at least try the demo.

Not that they won’t wheel it out again, but since Bizarro was in Rebirth I’m guessing we’ll just get a grandiose version of Safer/Savior/Seraph Sephiroth instead.

I know better not to be excited by Square's works before they release, but looking at the bottom of the image, I can't say there's not a bit of curiosity as to how they'll implement the "Bizarro" boss battle, probably my favorite battle of the original game.

Pretty excited for this. I'm a sucker for that 2.5D Octopath Traveler aesthetic.
