Rather long post, if not rambly, but it sounds to me as Hata trying to spin a better light while still being apologetic. He also explains the reason of his absence which led the place into slowing almost to a halt. Hopefully it works out.

Thought it was worth sharing, as there wasn't anything saying upfront that's the case and the warning only appears after trying to submit the registration form.

...now I wonder I have any email account other than Protonmail or (shivers) Google's
