I have found that direct exchanges work better, for sure.

There are two reasons I don't post publicly, one is for my privacy as this whole FediNSFW world is unknown to my IRL people. The other is that I don't feel like it would draw much interest. I have posted in the past in different sites for a rating and I didn't get any comments at all. I have done some tributes and gotten good feedback, though.

I follow a few creators on kinkycats.org . Some sell, some don't but the instance seems very friendly to it, where creators boost each other.

Yes. In particular, creators that post on Fedi servers and that sell directly. I'm not a fan of platforms like OF, Fansly, don't trust them handling personal information (Ashley Madison, anyone?) and they take a cut of the creator's revenue.

Chatting with these creators, I've learned of the effort that they put in making their content and since I enjoy it, I have no problem supporting them.
