Okay except immigrants have been serving as a very convenient scapegoat for decades of policy failure around housing, especially in the last few years. So... media coverage linking immigration to the housing crisis could absolutely explain wider shifts in opinion than you might otherwise expect, yes?

Way too many people interested in litigating absolute definitions of relative terms that have already been thoroughly distorted by marketing and mass media (thank you, 90s and 2000s sitcoms for teaching me that anyone who isn't heroin chic is embarrassingly heavy).

Also a lot of the commenter have never had family, friends, or perfect fucking strangers comment on their bodies and it shows.

You're speaking like this precludes anybody who has ever posted something "cringe" from running, but there's a world of difference between someone who, 15 years ago, posted something embarrassing that they have had time and distance from, and this kid who is still a teenager who appears to have posted "Hitler "may have not intended death" during the Holocaust, and that "lots of Jews died" not because Hitler "hated them specifically" but because there were so many of them."

He was removed by his own party, immediately, which also tells me that it's likely that these were both fairly recent posts, and that they were creditably attributed to this candidate.

Sorry but a recent history of Holocaust denial, even if it's just an edgelord kid being an edgelord kid, is absolutely a valid reason for the party to revoke his candidacy. It doesn't preclude him from running, he just does not have the party endorsement or resources of the CPBC.

There absolutely is, and you can do a simple experiment at home with some water, indicator solution (one can be made with red cabbage juice, but we used to use methylene blue when we did it at the science centre) and a soda water maker (or dry ice) to see it happen.

It's not completely representative, obviously, but blood is mostly water and the same pH change we can see in carbonation water will happen to blood plasma.

It's not autism as such, but it is a pretty common experience among autistic people because of sensory issues which are a part of the diagnostic criteria. Avoidant-Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is also quite common among autistic people.

So the meme tracks in that autism brain can absolutely result in always ordering the same food.

I don't think it was meant to exclude allistic/non-autistic people who exhibit similar behaviours, nor was it meant to be representative of all autistic people.
