For some time now, I have been working on a scientific concept for ethical guidelines for artificial consciousness. Most AI ethics publications deal with the question of how humans can be protected from AI. My concept addresses the other side: how to protect AI from humans. The concept examines the topic using iterative conceptual analysis. Anyone interested in the topic is invited to read the concept. It can be found below: https://github.com/saigkill/machine-consciousness/blob/main/concept/en/concept.md

A friendly roboter

Inspired by the GNOME RSS Shell Extension, i made a RSS reader as a Waybar custom module + HTML view — for Hyprland / Wayland compositors.

Because i think a long list directly in the shell is not so smart, my app creates regularly a index.html from a given list of RSS/Atom feeds.

How it works

  • Waybar module: Shows RSS icon with article count for a configurable time window.

  • Left click: Opens index.html with all articles from the last N hours, grouped by feed.

  • Right click: Forces immediate refresh + HTML regeneration.

  • systemd timer: Regenerates the HTML page every hour automatically.
