Wait but I've eaten green tomatoes? Are they only safe when they're fried? Or is it more of a mildly sore tummy situation?

Feel free to elaborate on those insect interactions if you feel like it, those sound useful as a gardener.

    Hold the fucking phone

I've been growing both these plants for years. And i had no idea about this. Potatoes growing tomatoes? I might need to see this for myself. I assume they're anaemic little things, but still.

Love the smell of toms of course, i didnt know that was a defense mechanism, i thought they just kinda had that smell.

What is that object? Is this a vector slop electric chair or something? That wouldn't even make sense in this context but i have no idea what else I could be looking at

Thanks! This makes a lot of sense. I didn't realise it was a moving part. In my mind i imagined it to be a passive stop that stops the recoil from sliding the juicy bit of your hand meat up into the hammer and slide situation at the exact moment that those parts are doing some sliding and hammering (or right after that moment i suppose).

You allude to these mechanisms being hard to reach for normal hands, is that correct? You reckon our old mate j-brown had some freaky fingers (like John Mayer's T H U M B), so he put things in weird places?

So if this weapon is THE iconic american sidearm, why is it not the standard police issue? Is the glock a safer weapon?

And why do you suppose it is such a popular weapon if it has the safety issues as you describe? Is it because it looks cool? Or is it simply some sort of patriotism?

It's a piece of gum tree. Eucalypts are hard as the devil, which is proving to be a little slippery in practice. I chiselled out a grid pattern which is working okay, but it's still slipping much more than my old rotting pine log.

At this point I'm hoping it will get a grip as it ages and silvers and gets beaten on. We'll see.

A colleague of mine just went home sick, so I'm covering for him in our companies first "AI Navigators" group meeting.

Any thoughts on what I should bring up? I'm one of three developers that i recognise in the invite. Besides that it's just a bunch of middle managers.

Edit: My two-up manager found out that I'll be going to this. It was made very clear to me that I am not attending as an individual, but as a "representative of the department". I guess I have a reputation. Gotta pick my battles, gonna have to toe the company line on this one.
