The code is available on Github...?
https://www.pixnoy.com/post/6735255749326563195037/ Can't create an original Instagram-link since they don't let people have a look into it without an account. So at least a link to a mirror-site.
Thats awesome thank you, so with these tools you just schedule the post and then you can close the tab or app and the server will post it?
Exactly. Sorry for the late answer, I haven't been here for a while.
bird.makeup is up again, feel free to support it on Patreon.
The corresponding issue on Github has 381 thumbs up at the moment. It simply has not been implemented into the official Mastodon UI (as most of the others) yet. As you expected so far, this feature is only available in the backend, so you either need to use a tool that was explicitly created for scheduling toots (like FediPlan or Mastodon scheduler), or use a modern app that has implemented this feature, such as Soapbox on the web or Fedilab on Android.
I don't feel like looking up the issue on GitHub, but Gargon once explained that he doesn't want to change this mechanism, as otherwise instances would falsify non-existent likes and thus manipulate the system.
The actual likes are therefore only visible on the instance from which the post originated, as every like is transferred to this instance.
As a German who lives not so far from Berlin, I can tell you that things are really bad there and the initiative is more a reaction to the situation than part of a movement. Since the last state election, Berlin has pretty much the most car-friendly government in the republic, even by German standards - every possible cent that could even be considered for a cycle path is being stopped there. The situation is nothing short of catastrophic.
Nonetheless, the success of the initiative is of course to be sincerely wished.
It has been an invite-only instance, but it should be open for months now since the invitation system was broken.
Anyway: Big thumbs up for loma.ml - it's excellently maintained and the support is more accessible than your ISP.
