I think this is when we start to see the decline of Apple, probably started with the VR headset, but it’s just going to get weirder and wilder from here with less innovation in existing products and more swing-and-miss products

Just a simple program I wrote to turn user favorites into server-wide recommendations, you might also find it fun. Screenshots in the repo.

For me the 'favorite' functionality is pretty useless, I wanted something to let other users on my server know 'this is pretty good, you should watch it'. I also wanted it to work on TV clients too, so it just 'hijacks' the Collections functionality to show each user's favorites (if they have any) as a collection.

I could have probably written this as a plugin instead, rather than a standalone container, but I have no interest in learning C#.

Appreciate it. Been working on it for about 1.5 years, but it’s a lot of work, and the feature-set isn’t quite right yet. Expect a lot more development and experimentation before it ‘feels’ good.

VSCode with vim bindings for coding, neovim for configs, etc.

Wish I could switch fully to neovim but can’t be bothered to spend the time to configure it to my liking

Agreed, but I didn't want to overwhelm the guy with too much info :P The official guide even recommends checking the cryptographic signature of the script and reading its contents first. I'm sure like all of us they'll nuke their system several times and before long will be writing their own shell scripts.
