"any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" - Arthur C. Clarke
Scrolling on the app details works on mine (also tested in vanadium, same outcome) but the buttons on the app details have different sizes to match the text so some buttons get cropped and the "side by side" scroll looks bad. I'm sure it was vibe coded and tested poorly.
I also find it hard to believe Duolingo Music is free. I'm not a musician and don't know any of these apps so I can't attest for that.
Side question: Do you need emojis and text to tag something?
This is from Rocket Recordings, I really got check out their releases.
So good. Thank you for sharing. I've gotta put this band in my ears.
Butter smooth as always
Available on Bandcamp
Altin Gün play a lot of covers from Anatolian rock. I know Moğollar and Selda Bağcan.
As an aside, there's also a cool compilation on Persian funk/rock, Pomegranates
Did not know Yin Yin but on first listen seems like something I'll like.
I think I got lucky with Khruangbin because I caught their first record when it was released and love it. Glass Beams is pure delight.
I think we're missing Altin Gun in this thread
Songs From The Victorious City - I remember this one, this is nice. i'll have to add this to my collection
Muslimgauze and Alek Lee delve more into electronic, not bad a thing but maybe for another time.
I know Awesome Tapes From Africa, maybe like most I got them through Bandcamp, like Habibi Funk.
I think most is likewise rather modern West-influenced sub-Saharan
I don't think you're wrong, I'm sure it's influenced by western ears.

That sounds interesting, I’d appreciate some posts or just a dump of links/names on this topic.

Not related, but I bought this album recently and think that it might fit into this - Ranjah
The type of sound I was looking for with Spiritchaser was the percussion and rhythm, not the European style classical sound from DCD earlier works.
For the past 6 years I've delving into north African blues and Arab psyche. I've been looking into "desert sound" type of music, if that makes any sense 😁
Anyhow, I always appreciate your knowledge and comments 🙏
Can someone explain this one?
This song still gives me goosebumps. I first heard it in my teens when I was still developing my musical taste and didn't care too much for it. Although I discovered Spiritchaser back then and it's become one of my favorite albums to listen to all tracks.
Rakim grew on my over the years, and I've seen this video countless times now.
There's also the typical "arroz de cabidela", a chicken rice made with chicken blood and in the north of Portugal there's the "arroz de sarrabulho" made with pig's blood.
