@thelinuxexperiment I love @zenbrowser 's out of the box minimalist approach: no bloated page when opening a new tab, vertical tabs are a plus for me, it lets you choose the search engine you want during initial setup, it's Firefox based (compatible with extensions)... Love it.My chromium-based fallback is Brave, but I honestly never have to use it.I started using Gnome Web more. Maybe I'll download my password manager's desktop app and give it a real try. But for now happy with Zen.

@thelinuxexperiment plus I'll admit that Valve brought us proton, which is open source and makes running games on Linux a ton more practical (even GOG games) than when we had to tweak wine to do so, often without result (PlayOnLinux nostalgia). Which allows many to ditch a big bad proprietary OS in the first place. So ditching Valve's software and platform, albeit proprietary, may not be the ultimate priority, when there are other proprietary software to focus on.

@thelinuxexperiment nice video as per usual 🙌. Like others, I'm interested in your experiment with UBtouch, looking forward to it. You mention there is no open source alternative to Steam. True, but there is a drm-free one (GOG.com), also important for software freedom. And it works well with an open source launcher (heroic). Even though many games are missing, and the games themselves are not OSS either. But yeah, still bound to Steam for many games, did not manage ditching it either.
