...tbh though, I think you're not framing the situation correctly:

Women for a long time were excluded from male dominated spaces. So they ended up having to form their own groups and spaces. Now you imply that women having those spaces is the exact same thing as men excluding women from their spaces.

Yes, the loaded word patriarchy is a thing that hurts both men and women. But trying to frame men and women's situations as analogous is ignoring a loooot of history. You're looking at the end result and measuring it without seeing the past circumstances that created it.

This is like looking at the Black Lives Matter and being upset that they didn't name themselves All Lives Matter. When their creation was a direct result of black people losing their lives at the hands of police, and the name was meant to bring attention to that.

Women's groups and spaces, similarly, are a direct result of wanting to escape the discrimination and exclusion that comes from being in male-dominated environments. This is not 1:1 with men excluding women from things. Not when historically, women have been excluded from: voting, having paid jobs, having their own bank accounts, owning property, the choice whether to have kids, the choice of who to marry. Not to mention, literally being considered property to be bought and sold through dowries. For hundreds of years up until very recently this was the case. And the scars of that still exist in society. You cannot look at those scars and be blind to the history.

Men are definitely less likely to report rape if they've experienced it. In part rape is still seen as something to be ashamed of being a survivor of. I'm not arguing against that. But idk man, I think you're making a lot of black and white assumptions here about why things are the way that they are.

IMO you and your partner should always communicate prior about whether it would be okay to wake each other up with sex, and not doing so is irresponsible.

I don't think being woken up with a sexual act you couldn't consent to is a good way to define rape. A good definition is whether the act was wanted or unwanted. There's a subtle difference here.

If being woken with a BJ was wanted, then it's not rape. But it could have been rape if it was unwanted. It's extremely irresponsible to pray and hope that the contact was wanted without establishing anything prior. Basically: it's possible to consent to something during/after the fact. But it's dangerous, and why risk being a rapist by doing it that way when you can simply have a conversation about whether it would be okay?

Your money is given to a man. That man gives it to nazis.

You: but he's the middle man! That means he can do whatever he wants with the money I give him, and even though I know he'll give it to nazis, I'm fine with that! In fact, I'll give him MORE money! The left is so indoctrinated for thinking my actions are wrong! It's CANCELLING someone if you refuse to given them money! Being mean to a nazi supporter by refusing to give him my money is the REAL fascism!

It's gross to specifically seek out someone specifically because they're shy and with mental issues. Men who target people who are vulnerable are usually looking for someone easy to manipulate. Same thing as the "looking for someone a little autistic" trend. Or before that, "looking for a girl with anxiety". They want the power and none of the responsibility of dealing with the downsides of the mental issue. Red flag behavior.

ib4 the downvotes: I'm not the only one who noticed this bs and there's a rabbit hole of discourse on this trend online.

“Yes, actually. I assume everyone has STDs until they take a test to prove otherwise. It’s just safer that way. You’re literally hooking up with me, so I assume this isn’t the first time you’ve hooked up with someone. Can you vouch for everyone you’ve been with before me? And do you trust everyone I’ve been with before you?”

Like bro, you’re a fool if you’re offended when someone asks you to wear a condom. That is so concerning that I’d never contact him again. Someone who is OFFENDED at being asked to use protection is giant walking red flag.

I’m sorry you even have to ask if you were being too pushy. You weren’t. He was being insane. It’s YOUR body, you get to decide what you’re comfortable with. Never let someone pressure you into being less safe than you want.

You did the right thing in insisting!

Dress as a scientist with a labcoat, and build something really quickly by pulling tools out of nowhere as a giant cloud of steam covers up what I’m doing, revealing a giant scientific looking device that is labeled “restore normal laws of physics for everyone except me”. Push the button. Now I am the only one running on cartoon logic. I have hopefully prevented others from destroying the Earth by exploding giant bombs or whatever. Or racists from coming up with a “kill all non-white people” virus. Or a variety of other horrors.

Then do things like build an anti-corruption ray and fire it at major government buildings. Panacea-ray to be given to hospitals. Climate-change regulation machine. Etc. Lots of different rays lmao.

Come up with plan to reduce suffering in the universe and harness cartoon physics into technology without someone being able to exploit this awesome power for evil. Do not do this alone. Gather others. Watch cartoons for ideas. Think this bs through a lot more.

I think I’d build a time-stopping device with immunity necklaces to place around the necks of the smartest and most compassionate people on Earth (which I’d use another tracking device to find) to give everybody time to think through ideas on what to do. That way everyone in the hospitals could stop dying while we think through ideas, giving us time to save them. Probably end up giving others the cartoon physics power after building a device to find the best candidates for the responsibility, and shooting them with the anti-corruption ray.

Probably shoot MYSELF with the anti-corruption ray to keep myself from going insane with power.

Fix the world, then later, fix the universe. End involuntary suffering. End involuntary death for those who do not wish to die. Fix entropy. Have fun forever.

Go to where the audiophiles are. There are plenty of headphones and IEMs (earbuds) under $50 (and even $25) that sound fantastic and sound better than $200 dollar options out there. My favs that I actually tried are the MOONDROP Chu 2 $23, Koss KSC75 $20, and the Sennheiser HD 600 (which I got on eBay for like $250). Check out the audiophile subreddit, there are plenty of people who have made ranking lists.
