Thanks! I tried sticking to the same palette as their sprite

Here's what I did:

Scatter brush of pine tree shapes with the layer opacity turned down

Grass scatter brush on another layer

Go ham with a soft transparent airbrush

Gradient for the sky/fog

Slap a layer texture over the whole thing

Oh man, as long as I could hold a crayon. So over 25 years?
