At this point i assume if he is good enough for them he is on it with them... The mutual destruction type of motivation... or at the very least one sided leverage thing...

This is just spunge bob showing up the huge pile of trash all over.

In my 30 years carrier of sw eng there was not a single company i worked for that would take security seriosly enough. Not even the two banks I worked for, the security focus was higher there, but nowhere close to enough. Deadlines had to be met, shareholders had to be made happy. Security is the type of investment the better you do it the more invisible it looks and is easy for managers to put lower on the backlog.

The ocasional security researcher I had the privilidge to talk to or work with always had few vulnerabilities in pocket to report in case they dry up on the findings.

Good luck to the overworked understuffed teams in an average company.

Closest i heart... imagine yourself on public transport in winter evening. 10 minutes from home, you really but really need to go for the second... bus is slowly slowing down. You know you can make it in time. The door opens you hastingly exit the bus and do that one weird quick step towards home. You get to your house, but the elevator is blocked by someone on some other floor. Come on, come on guys let it go. Uf uf, no problem 3rd floor you can make it using the stairs. 1 floor, second floor, third floor, now you are almost running... door is locked... where are the keys??? Oh, here, good, open door, shut it closed. Start undressing towards the toilet. At the last second, just in time, sit on the toilet and release the daemon.

Oh my god that feels good.

So anal feels like that just less mess around.
