I have worked in a bike shop that also did e-scooter repairs, which was my main job.

The work is shitty, so most shops stop offering it. Debugging issues can take hours. Finding parts is a nightmare. People furious why it takes weeks for parts to arrive from China. Parts that are advertised as compatible but aren’t.

I’m glad I don’t have to do that any more.

One recommendation from my side: stick to the big brands (Xiaomi, Segway, etc). Your scooter WILL fail sooner or later. These are the most repairable and the parts are easy to source.

    Congratulations! Looks delicious.

We are also in 7a and started eating our tomatoes about a week ago. Cucumber has been going super strong for a few weeks now. Eggplants are starting to be ripe enough to harvest. It’s been a good year so far.

I’m sure there are no infrastructure issues that would need funding, no social security efforts that are short-staffed, etc

At least now you can ask ChatGPT how to DIY fix a bridge.

Crazy idea, but instead of ripping out hundreds of thousand of trees using government aid, why doesn’t the government keep the processing plants open using aid? This sounds so very f*cking backwards

It’s an amazing business model, if you think about it: the research is paid for my the government, the researchers then send it to the publisher for free, unpaid academics are doing the review for free, and then all universities pay for subscription access (with money that largely also comes from the government).

Input is free, the work is done for free, and then the output is wildly expensive, but paid for by tax payers.

But if someone even mentions guillotines people get mad.

Absolutely this. Even if you had fancy jails or docker setups for each submission, this will be a nightmare to properly handle. Students DOSing each other exactly before the submission deadline, too.
