Nothing you have argued is an argument that tells me I should vote for the orange child rapist. I had no option on my ballot that doesn't suck. I am not going to run for office, and I am not going to die fighting the assholes that are in charge. I want better, but I have no power to do anything except throw my own life away.

They are both shit. Under the Republicans, the genocide expanded into Lebanon and Iran. We're bombing school girls without even getting a Congressional rubber stamp for expanding the war. There was not a good choice on the ballot with respect to the genocide.

Democrat facilitation or Republican facilitation. The issue was not on the ballot. I think the Democrats are slightly more likely to be sympathetic to the Palestinians since they are not so overtly racist against people of color.

All choices on the ballot suck, so I should just get myself shot by the fascists? I don't see any good options. My fucking ballot had 17 elections where a republican was running unopposed. Staying home means I get the worst possible option. Welcome to Texas where the morons think Talarico is a communist (would be nice if only it were true).

The biggest problem is that humans are not capable of self governance. The sociopaths are the ones most interested in aggrandizing themselves through political office.

I am running Kubuntu, but I would like to switch to Cachy. I haven't because I don't really have any complaints about my OS, but I do think Cachy would be better. I just need to suck it up and make some backups (which I need to do anyway).

I would venture a guess that the Republican base for the most part hasn't encountered a trans person, but they have encountered $120+ refueling of their giant monster trucks and grocery bills being twice what they were 10 years ago. But hey those 1% raises at work make them grateful to have a job. Sure is surprising their message is resonating.

Hansen and team's research finds climate sensitivity is at least 4.5C for a doubling of CO2 with 99% certainty. Too bad COPS is using 3.0 like it is gospel. For some perspective, the CO2 baseline is around 285, and we're up to 425 (we're only 145 away from doubling and that's ignoring increases in fun things like methane and nitrous oxide). The amount to get to the doubled value is roughly the increase we have experienced in my lifetime, so it is not as far away as it might seem.

I guess I should invest in air conditioned farming.
