High schoolers in France are protesting due to poor conditions and a defamed education.

  • Our PISA scores are low
  • budgets are getting cuts
  • classes are overcrowded
  • students have too long hours and too much work for poor results

They have a right to protest but they are being met with a really heavy repression.

Tear gas, "non-lethals", armors + bâtons...

They are kids. (Fuck EU kids act btw, this is the reality of how they treat our kids)

As a post-2000 person, I can get a glimpse of that in some TV shows like breaking bad. Also when looking at my parents pictures from when they where younger.

But I've never experienced it. You can hang out with friends and all but good luck convincing 4+ friends to NOT take their phones to a gathering.

There's always someone texting their gf/bf, someone who likes to post too much, someone deep in online gatchas.

Even an inactive user will carry their phone because of navigation, feeling insecure at night, paying stuff...

There's a billion excuses (with a range of validity) to take your phone with you.

    Meh 😕

Idk, taxes maybe? They (gvnmt) always find money when they want/need. Securing someone for 6-7 years (enough time to land on your feet) doesn't seem like too much money on a country level when you consider other areas of spending (defense/consulting/...)

If the company was that good, it must've brought some numbers

(I believe, idk I'm no expert at all)

This post is an update from this one: link

    Hi,

I have a right blinker problem on my car, specifically the right side repeater and rear right indicators.

They used to work on and off sporadically but now they don't work anymore.

When they break, they both break at the same time.

Disclaimer, I am a beginner who watches youtube videos and search stuff online. So far I have changed a radio and a diesel return line on another car.

    Pictures (sorry for the resolution)

Here's a schematic I found online for my car model:

    Here's another:

    Both found here: https://www.c3manuel.com/indicateurs_de_direction_signal_danger-106.html

And here's a simplified one made by myself:

    Findings

    • Lamp module 2635 (rear right): OK

    • Connector and pins 2635: OK

    • Lamp module 2345 (right side repeater): OK

    • Wiring [BSI - PH1 - #13] -> [2635]: OK (I even replaced it, ruining a perfectly good original part >.<)

    • Wiring [BSI - EP - #19] -> [2345]: Untested, very hard to reach

    • Ground MC70: OK (because the other lights (stop and fog) are working fine)

    • Ground MC20: OK (because the front right blinker goes there and this one's working)

    • Front right blinker: OK

    • Left blinkers: OK

    • Blinker fluid: OK ^^

    • The BSI isn't sending a pulsing 12V to PH1#13 and EP#19.

    • The ticking is faster on the right side.

What can I check/do next? I am kinda lost.

As I said before, I am a beginner so every piece of advice is welcome.

    Solved

BSI was replaced and it works now

    UPDATE:https://lemmy.world/post/50623501

Trying to figure out where I am losing voltage for rear right blinker on a C3 II.

Connectors on the light module are OK, I tried on the left side, compared with a multimeter and I should get a pulsing Voltage (12V if I recall) but the gray one stays at 0 on the right side.

So I followed the wire all the way to under the glove box where I found what looks like a burned resistor.

    Edit: it's a plastic shielding:

I'm pretty new to this so if I'm looking at the wrong things please feel free to tell.

I'm working on a project that's scaling up a bit fast in term of files and content. As such I need a way to keep these files organized.

The godot documentation recommends keeping resources and assets close to their scenes. I used to do the opposite, separating assets by type and linking them in my scenes.

Now, what the docs recommend is good but how to avoid duplications when you need to use the same resource at multiple places?

Say you have a gunshot sound, your player can use it, your enemies too.

    Option A (the docs way):

    /enemies/cowboy/gunshot.ogg
    /enemies/cowboy/cowboy.tscn
    /enemies/turret/gunshot.ogg
    /enemies/turret/turret.tscn
    /player/gunshot.ogg
    /player/player.ogg

Here I have a redundancy of gunshot.ogg, so if later I want to edit the sound, I have to remember to swap it at 3 different places.

But on the other hand, the scenes are better "packed" for reusability on other projects and it "feels right"

    Option B (my way):

    /gameobjects/player.tscn
    /gameobjects/cowboy.tscn
    /gameobjects/turret.tscn
    /sounds/gunshot.ogg

Here my naive way reduces redundancy, if I want to update the gunshot sound, I can just replace the one under /sounds/. The project is smaller which is also a (very) good benefit.

However, if I want to make another game, reusing those scenes is a pain because I'm dealing with missing resources and finding who needs what to work.

Is there a middle ground method, some Option C I'm not seeing?

    Thank you for reading ^^

Ok hear me out, you have an extension on your browser, if you see some ai slop website, you can flag it. Then, like sponsorblock it doesn't appear and gets just zapped. It could also work on youtube and other major websites, you flag some post, then it doesn't appear for other users.

In the end you have a database of ai slop content to avoid (or attack, idk I'm just some guy on the shitter (sry that's not a shower 😬😢)

Recent AOSP news had me in shambles.

But I like my stupid games like clash of clans and royale.

My entourage has a lot of gamers. When we want to play together but don't have access to our computers, we can take out out phones and play a quick game of clash or some other stuff and I'd like to keep doing this.

I'm already a fanboy of Fedora & KDE which I'm running on both my personal and workplace machine. I'd like to also "clean" my phones.
