The likelyhood of him reading comments like this is incredibly low whereas other random people may come across it and not have any idea about how terrible he has shown himself to be. So I think talking about him like this is a net positive.

Edit: I don't think him getting flack caused him to change to be the person he is today, if anything getting massive amounts of money freed him to be more open about who he truly is inside. Maybe catching flack online also helped him in taking off the mask so to say.

At least one side has people talking positively about trans people while the other is pretty unified in their hatred of trans people. When we have people like AOC talking about how we need to support our trans population it at least gives me some hope.

Palmer Luckey is such a loser. He makes absolute bank by selling Oculus to Facebook and then decides with all that money his time is best spent developing weapons to help kill people more efficiently. We need more people like MySpace Tom who, after making a load of money, stepped away and pursued his artistic interests and turns out the guy is a really good photographer.

I believe most of the time they run models with the known parameters and use that to decide what the objects were. It also seems that we appear to understand what different wave patterns look like and know what the source objects tend to be. Other times I believe they can figure out what one object was but not the other and just kinda have to guess at it. I would also suspect that once they determine the location in the sky where the event happened they can check and see if there are any past observations of that area of the sky by other telescopes and just look and see what was there previously.

I'm sure I'm greatly simplifying this, but that's what I turned up with a bit of reading on the LIGO website for Gravitational Wave Sources and Types.

    Edit: typos

I feel you on this, but at least as of last week if you have the correct settings in bios and windows, vanguard can be setup to only run while you're playing a game and not run 24/7. I still don't fully trust Vanguard though, but at least it's some progress in the right direction.

In the US you have some protections automatically just by using the name publically. Of course you'd have a much stronger case if you have it registered, but I have a feeling with a name this specific it would be a little easier especially given that the product is incredibly similar as well. Technically the trademark could still be registered and you may even have to provide evidence that you were using the name at an earlier date, which the steam page would help a lot with.
