Kagi is the next "we got you" corpo that use "virtue signaling" to bring left-sided customers.

Open-source something something, we value your privacy something something, come here, it's better than the alternative, something something... Do be Evil, haha!

Same pattern, same pattern. Then, the next day:

"We are so excited to announce we are raising our prices and we are changing on privacy policy to protect you BETTER".

From there, do you recognize the song? I do.

Please remove Mailfence from the list.

I am using them, they are great, you can use your own domain, alias, webcal, with document space too, and cheap...

Please, I want it to stay smol and good.

Not all publicity is good publicity I've learnt...

I logged in just to tell you, bravo.

I've just read the 2 comments of yours in that sub-thread here, and that's beautifully done.

From that, I can see you are an intelligent being speaking from yourself, not copy-pasting "pre-made" arguments found on the forums like lemmy/reddit/etc.

It's refreshing, and I would like to see more of that. The only thing I can do, that I can control, to perhaps see that more often on the internet is to show my gratitude here.

    Thank you.

Did it crash on startup? No? Well then you lied

If you read again, you realize I am not talking about what they slopped, I was saying that I did mine and it is crashing at start, see by yourself:

I also created a Photoshop clone, the only caveat is it crashes at start, BUT I TOTALLY DID IT!

That's text comprehension, I am just going to end this charade right aboutttt... Here.

    Shroud of the Avatar...

Check on YouTube, Richard is a fraud. Some Japanese article were talking about how he didn't even design Ultima.

Since SotA, this name is ruined and not a good signal.

That's actually a terrible news to see him crawling back.

I watched the video (partially because I can't stand it, such annoying video).

So what's your point?? Go use it if that's your turf, don't come around insulting me for no reason.

Do you have a skin in that fame? Why are you so uptight about a vibecoded project? And you are all on the defensive while telling me I have a fragile worldview he he... Projection? Maybe?

There are ton of missing features, buggy ones, crashes.. What's the point of your dummy doing some tests on the slop?

My point was/is: it seems easy to claims victory these days with half a winning battle.

My point still hold, while yours seem moot.

Good day my little world shattering wannabe ;)

Funny seeing people losing their shit yet again in front of "AI" claims...

Like all the other spectacular previous claims that is not mentioned: it's a bird with half wings - it does not fly.

I also created a Photoshop clone, the only caveat is it crashes at start, BUT I TOTALLY DID IT!

That was written in the sky...

Open-Source is literally used as marketing tool for the under dogs until they reach a critical mass of users.

People were fighting on social media, defending the product, suggesting it, "it's open source", people were doing the marketing for them.

No wonder why people feel like they got raped, after all the hard work they have done for them...

But at least they didn't contribute code, did you? Not me, because I am old enough to never use such products, it's a classic rug pull, bait and switch.

Open source doesn't mean it's good, it must be hold by a bunch of strangers in T-shirt, not in full suite...

    Corpo in disguise...
