Fans of Criterion may be familiar with this release. The most pretentious home video distributor actually put out Michael Bay’s Armageddon on DVD. I have a handful of other Criterion releases. They like auteurs, and Bay is an auteur of chaotic trash.

Found for $3. Both disks are present and in good condition. The insert has a small tear. The case is pretty scuffed up though. Very happy with this condition for that cost.

A heavily scuffed DVD case. The cover is black with “The Criterion Collection” across the top, and “ARMAGEDDON” in flaming letters centered on a thin arc line in the center.

Yo! I love Kanopy, also Hoopla! I get them from two different library groups in my area. Kanopy’s interface can be slow but I support whatever libraries can do for the people.

Have you also seen Hundreds of Beavers? That was another low budget comedy that rocked.

I’m a big fan of Zojirushi’s mugs. You’ll need a bottle brush to clean, but I think all their gaskets are removable and replaceable. I’ve never had a problem with leaks and they have a solid sliding lock.

This is why in The Simpson you will see David S. Cohen and in Futurama he is David X. Cohen. I think in a Futurama commentary he told about confusion in a guild or royalty payments that made him change how he was credited.

Most local libraries have CDs. The library is about as far as you can get from big tech because they are made to serve you instead of make a profit.

For discovery— do you have a community radio station. There’s one near me that cycles through different genres and DJs. And just talk to people. Make it a conversation starter when ever you meet someone.
