"It should come as a surprise to no one at Proton, least of all in engineering, that software engineering has irrevocably changed this year if not before"

Yep, I've never had to fix so many bugs and resolve so many production outages in a single year as I've done this year. AI is great. Couldn't be happier. /s

I hate Google, but considering chromiumos is based on Gentoo, maybe it's time they sacrifice some millions they made to Gentoo. Only pocket change right? Who am I kidding, selfish companies will stay selfish.

On my really old gaming laptop, I had to force X because Wayland refused to use the video card drivers for games, so everything would end up on the CPU.

On my main gaming machine, I have to manually run nvidia-smi to make Wayland recognize the video card is still there before I start a game, otherwise it attempts to run games on the CPU.

There's definitely some work that needs to be done. That being said, when it does work, I have no gripes. I just hate the fact it really really wants to use the CPU instead of the (Nvidia) graphics cards for graphical things by default.

It always confuses the hell out of me when I see an ad from someone's phone or computer when showing me a YouTube video or something. It's so jarring that I feel like I got malware on my skin lol

I think my main issue for this one is the requirement for internet. I cannot seem to be able to start it up because bootstrap is trying to download files. I've already downloaded the respective Zim file into the data folder. I by default block internet access to all docket images, and leave those I don't want external access for that way.

If you can update an offline installer, and maybe docker images for the entire project instead of requiring cloning it down, I think this project would be awesome

Proud Gentoo user for the past 12ish years and this is the first I've heard of "stage 1" and "stage 2". This explains the number for stage 3 I guess lol. Even with stage 3, and having dealt with gentoo (still my daily driver to date), I think I've learned more than I would have with many other distros.

Probably less reliable for me as a techie. Every time I opened Jami, my firewall alerts would go off about a device on the network calling to China, Russia, and Vietnam lol. Resulted in it almost never connecting for me since my network just blocked way to many connections on it for outbound traffic.

As someone who was an extreme diehard fan of diablo lore (hell, look at my username), I'll never forgive blizzard for tearing it to shreds since Diablo 3. The real game ended at 2 (and the books written after, but before 3) when it comes to lore and story.

This started happening to me a little while ago and slowly got worse and worse (re initializing devices didn't stick and I even went as far as buying a new ZigBee stick). While it ruined a weekend, I migrated everything to Z2M. To date, not a single device has dropped from the network. Zha has definitely borked something.

I've tried reporting issues before with other HA things, but have always got the "not my problem" treatment from frenck, so I just went straight to migrating to Z2M instead of bothering this time lol

Looks really good. Really wish I had the skills you do on art. I can make just about anything in code but when it comes to graphics, I suck. And can't afford artists nor do I know any, so I'm always stuck in a loop with games I want to make lol.

Funny, I was just working on my dashboard today for a new tank I'm setting up. Skimmed through this really quick, and have one question... What plugin are you using for those slick temperature cards? Apologies if you said it in the post and repeating.

Note there's a hacs plugin for Apex (what I'm using) which can help with some cool automations there too. Unfortunately it hasn't been touched in like a year though.
