I too hate quality loss so I've done a lot of my own testing to squeeze as much space out before I notice any quality loss

Would recommend looking into mozjpeg. I export my photos at 100% quality jpeg then run it through mozjpeg at around 80%~ (don't remember the exact number) so that the file size is tiny but I can't even pixel peep any loss of quality.

Gets my 61MP photos down to 8-20MB typically
