I believe I have found my all-time favourite recipe for chocolate chip cookies.

Three types of chocolate chunks (white, milk, dark). Crunchy on the edge, chewy in the middle. Not too sweet, not too greasy...

Recipe Yields about 15 big cookies

Ingredients 160 g of softened butter (pommade butter) 160 g of brown sugar (cassonade) 50 g of egg (1 medium egg) 1 teaspoon vanilla paste (or scrape 1 vanilla pod) 250 g of flour 3 g of baking powder 50 g of dark chocolate chips/chunks 50 g of milk chocolate chips/chunks 50 g of white chocolate chips/chunks

Instructions Mix the soft butter and sugar with a spatula. Add egg. Add sifted flour + baking powder. Add chocolate chips.

The dough is fairly dry, it will hydrate during resting time.

Make a log of 5cm diameter. Wrap it in food safe film.

Rest for min. 30 min, up to overnight. The flavours will develop better as it rests.

Cut 1 cm cookie coins and place them on a baking sheet with baking paper. You could also freeze the coins for later...

Bake at 180C between 12 and 18 min. If baking multiple sheets, rotate back to front and up to bottom sheet half way through.

Optional: right as they come out of the oven they are still a bit pliable. You can use a cup, bowl or glass with a similar rim size to round the shape a big.

*Go forth, my bakers... *

    Hey everyone,

I have noticed that some recipes on the internet make no sense and have my suspicions that they may be AI slop. The ratios are off, the cook time is unlikely, the illustration is AI made... But it's hard. And it will likely be getting harder to identify AI generated recipes in the future.

It's come to the point that I have a hard time trusting a recipe witten after the AI craze started (let's call it 2025). I'm so suspicious of everything, my go-to "authenticity" check is to not bother with recipes that have recent publication dates. But this isn't exactly fair nor fool proof.

Do you have tips on how to spot an AI generated recipe?

Mayonaise + Sambal Bajak = spicy mayo with amazing depth. If you're feeling fancy frate in half a clove of garlic.

Don't sub Sambal Bajak for Sambal Oelek. It is NOT the same thing.

    Hi everyone!

I'm preparing a new monster for a special Halloween themed one-short and would like to check with the community if my evaluation of the CR for this monster seems fair... If anybody has resources to evaluate this, please do share!

    The creature: a Pumpkin Beholder.

    Daily DM tasks (lemmy.world)

Do you have a list of tasks you do every in-game morning as a DM? For example:

    • roll for weather
    • keep track of that curse time bomb
    • roll for encounters for the day
    • check for public holidays
    • ....

I want to make my game more consistent and feel more alive. I'm wondering if there are things I should be tracking to achieve the feeling that the world is moving no matter what the players decide to do that day.

I want to have my players travel through the Elemental Plane of Fire for a short period of time. None of them are immune to fire damage. How could they prepare themselves to survive this ordeal?

We have a wizard, a bard and a monk. They will be traveling with a Fire Giant to guide them.

I found the Resilient Sphere spell that the wizard could learn. I could drop that in as a boon for an earlier quest so that they have it handy... but I'd like some other ideas.

    How would you handle this?
