Epic Games developed Unreal Engine and they are adding AI development tools in the up coming UE6. I dont know how much an AI-free development tag will help public opinion of UE games. But who knows - maybe youre right. Crazy times

Thank you for the content - I was unaware of this.

Pretty cool I spent the past decade learning C++ and UE to fulfill my dream of making games. Now none of that matters. If I release the game I have been developing myself it will be called ai slop. Thanks Epic!

    No.

Unreal Engine 6 (which is not out yet) is replacing Blueprint, Unreal's visual scripting language, with "Verse" a text-based language that is intended to be easier for coding models like claude to work with. Dev's who do not wish to use such AI tools can either stay on UE4-5 or strictly develop C++ in UE6. After the announcement they got a lot of backlash (most people seem to love blueprint) and hopefully Epic reconsiders but I doubt they will.

It is dumb move on Epic's part imo, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

    Nay.

No opinion should be above reproach and shaming people for bad opinions is foundational to open discourse. You should be ashamed of your bad opinions and so should I. We all need thicker skin.

People who expatriate from their home country typically dont have nice things to say about it. Its scary to me that so many people uncritically accept their opinions as fact.

So it is more harm reduction than systematic change? Completely reasonable.

I didnt mean to imply this is somehow not enough - Im just a ponderer and wanted to know if there was some general consensus on the issue because the whole endeavor appears impossible in the modern world (we have little power over where our food comes from or how it is produced), something the meme seemed to allude to.

    Thanks for your insight.

Im not a vegan but I imagine avoiding animal products is a herculean task. For instance, how do vegans account for things like bone meal, blood meal, feather meal, fish meal and even manure. Which are commonly used to fertilize crops?

This is why I couldnt be vegan, cause I would over-consider everything I consume - it is impossible to be truly moral in this hell world. You have my respect for trying though.
