We're much more in need of anti-trust enforcement. Productivity is much higher now than at any point in history, but all of the wealth it creates is stolen and hoarded by a very small number of greedy people.

Freeing that up and putting it in the hands of the people would give all of us a high standard of living. Putting a fraction of it into public funding to mitigate the effects of climate change would also support this.

This thread is calling out a legitimate problem, but things aren't that bad.

Last year the market grew by 9%. This year it is projected to shrink by 11%. That's huge, but not 80-90%.

Pycharm with Claude running in a separate terminal works well for me. I tried Antigravity a while ago, until a previous update broke my workflow.

My use-case focuses on finding and organizing information. I do have a bunch of python and bash scripts, but they're all quite short.

The plugins for Obsidian are much more useful. I think that Joplin is more like a simpler version of Obsidian. Both are solid choices, and both work well paired with a command-line LLM.

Same here, except I never got very deep in Notion, and tried Amplenote as well before settling on Obsidian.
