But they're literally weapons programmed to kill, aren't they? It's another thing altogether when a robot isn't a weapon, hasn't been programmed to kill, but intentionally killed someone anyway.
Are we talking no_std rust or something else?
Oh wait, no external crates would make it more like kernel rust then?
Why does this sound like an ad? Is this supposed to be an ad?
Using AI codegen feels like returning to a beginner all over again. Throwing shit at a wall, begging the AI to cooperate, getting frustrated because nothing works and I can't do anything to fix it because none of the code is mine.
I swear this was a phase I grew out of after years of dedicated practice. Now I'm forced back into it again.
Every issue has been because corporations have "get out of jail free cards" these days, greed is sky high, and AI psychosis is rampant.
All those supposed AI agent hacks happened because someone set that as a task for the AI agents. Yes, someone thought it was ok to do so for marketing and profit. That's the problem, companies are willing to use the AI tool to commit crimes.
Imagine if weapons companies advertised their products by shooting people in the streets. Someone thought it was a good idea, and can get away with it.
I don't believe at all that AI agents have free will enough to decide to hack companies for fun. They're just glorified text generation machines hooked up to an interface. They don't have intentionality unless some human gave them the directive and wrote them a large cheque.
Also, we know all these AI company billionaires read dystopian scifi novels like business strategy textbooks. That's why everything surrounding AI is so overtly scifi coded.
Well yeah. Just imagine linux being just the command line, then you gotta build a whole graphics layer on top of it. Windows and Mac built them as one combined unit. Linux being Linux, obviously different people have made their own versions for people to download for free.
So everything visually above is mostly down to the choice of DE, while the technical command line stuff underneath like the drivers and stuff are the distro.
People usually just refer to each DE by their main stylistic inspiration. E.g. KDE is more windows inspired with the start button at the bottom, while GNOME is more mac-ish looking. Neither are copies of course, and there are tons of DEs that are uniquely designed by random people with crazy ideas.
Like a super theme. Makes the entire interface entirely different, even comes with different default apps, like the default calculator is different too.
If you've ever used Android phones, you might've seen launcher apps on the play store. Something like that.
Absolutely disgusting. I was too busy to patch youtube for my dad this one time and he's completely sucked into AI generated shorts. Every time I see him, he's watching AI generated shorts. I've been blocking that shit for him for years.
Also Nixos, when it took an embarrassing amount of time to purge the backdoored xz dependent packages. If there were any problems with Nixos, this would've been it.
Which is exactly why you're free to license your code under GPL. If corpos can use, then so can you.
True, but probably not the point. I'm not American, but my country has been banning smartphones too. Apparently kids stopped trying to talk to one another, they just scroll. A few kids will sneak phones, but the culture of avoiding interaction will be broken if they can't scroll openly.
It even specifically requires GPS location unlike other messengers. Boo.
