Depends on the game and what you define as "cheating"

For me, if I'm trying to play a game and a glitch happens where it makes me lose progress, I'll "cheat" to get back that progress. Like in Minecraft, I usually play nodded Minecraft. That has more glitches in it and you can easily lose hours of progress from things like that.

I'm not made of time. If I lose or get fucked over by glitches, I don't consider getting back to where I was cheating. Maybe it is but I don't care. I play games to have fun, not to do a second job.

And to that point, I really like it when games give you an accessibility setting of some kind where it makes it harder to die or makes the game easier outside of an easy mode. I sometimes use those too. In Hades, I've been struggling a ton and turning on god mode has made it more fun for me.

Not really cheating but my point is if you make the game easier to have fun or make it more accessible, I don't really think it matters.

Altman argued that ongoing memory supply chain woes were because selfish individuals wanted to run their AI models locally instead of leaving the remaining AI chips alone for hyperscalers to hoard in data centers.

    Selfish? We're selfish?

Goooo fuck yourself. You're the problem you fucking cunt, and you know that.

Alcohol does get a stronger effect on people who use ADHD meds. My psych told me that and I've experienced it as well. Its a thing. Def gotta be careful about that. And this is all solid advice.

To OP, congrats man! Hope the meds help 😁

Maybe I'm just not finding the right brand, every Bluetooth earbud I've tried have been pretty lackluster. Either the sound isnt good, the batteries don't last or both. Haven't had good experiences with them thus far.

I too just bought a Motorola. My pixel 8 developed a line in the screen. I missed the headphone jack so much I decided I care more about that than I do the privacy of grapheneos. I did put /e/os on it though.

What Motorola did you buy? I went with a moto 5g 2024.

IMO, trade schools are where its at rn if you want a decent education in something. Usually a two year program so lower cost, better value cause you get trained in something that AI or robots won't replace any time soon, and you can actually make a decent wage so you won't be buried in debt afterwards.

Other than that, I learn a ton just doing shit I like. Music production, repairs, 3d printing, all my hobbies are skills I can use in other areas of my life. Doesn't have to be that way for you, but learning to fix some things is a valuable skill that you can learn from YouTube or the internet in general.

Libraries are a great resource as well of course. Lot of value in books that aren't tainted with AI slop. Sometimes harder to find what you are looking for, but it helps you slow down and learn more if you read it, at least for me.

Not too long after I replaced the fan, another part decided to fail. I thought it was the pump at first but after replacing that and it still not working, I was pretty stumped.

I did some YouTube research and found out that the moter that drives the basket to dump the ice out and store the water inside uses two limit switches. The one pictured is the one that's busted.

I forgot to take a photo of it after fixing everything up (was honestly very excited to have figured it out and fix it again) but after replacing the switch, it started making ice again!

Cost me about $20 total, 14 for the pump and 6 for some limit switches which I could've gotten cheaper but wanted the faster shipping to get this done. Happy GF, happy me.

I got this entertainment center from my roommate when we went our separate ways and I dont remember why this shelf didnt have the brackets it came with or if this shelf even was made for this but regardless, it made using this shelf a hazard.

Any time I tried to put something on it, good chance it would fall off due to it only resting on the pegs without any way to secure it.

So first thing I did was use digital calipers to set the size of the peg and make a prototype shelf bracket. First iteration was ok, but not great. it spun in place making it hard to align it with the shelf, and the lip I added didn't stop it from sliding backwards. Unfortunately lost that peice so that one is not pictured.

Attempt 2 was to make the lip higher and it did work better, but the spinning problem was still there.

Attempt 3 was just finding the distance between the peg holes and printing a part that had 2 pegs connected together to prevent the bracket from moving. This took me 3 prints but I got there eventually. After i made sure that worked, I printed what I thought would be the final version and it was pretty damn close.

The only issue was I didn't account for the length of the glass, so the glass didnt fit on my brackets. I also realized that I made the material way thicker than needed to connect the two pegs together so I fixed that as well.

I then 3d printed a final set of two brackets for the front that extended the lip out so that it would rest nicely and I nailed that part first try which felt incredible.

Now this shelf doesnt move AT ALL. Its so much sturdier and nice to use. I bought a AV reciever which is what sparked this whole endeavor. I really tried to just set it up and let it be but trying to get this heavy receiver on this shelf without it falling made it a pain and I felt if I let it be, this glass would end up breaking which I didn't want.

For anyone curious, its a Denon 1910. I wanted this so that I could eventually get surround if I wanted but mostly for a center channel and maybe a sub for my TV setup. Me and my girlfriend are watching more movies and TV recently and the movies especially make me want better sound.

I may do another post about making a shelf for the other side. Right now, only one side has a shelf. Cable management rakes or something may also be a fun project just to make the wiring not such a nightmare.

My girlfriends icemaker suddenly stopped working the other day and since I had a day off today, I figured I could try and fix it.

After some troubleshooting, it seemed like the fan stopped working, so I grabbed an old PC fan that just so happened to be the same size, wired it in, and presto, one less thing in the landfill and a happy gf.

I do love an easy fix.
