Fake phone app that looks exactly the same. Or literally just a video. Or even just visual effects, with the phone being a green screen.
That is understandable… One could use it for pirating stuff that is actually difficult to acquire legally. Like sports events in foreign countries or games not sold (anymore) in your country. And in general it's just nice to have a good VPN. Movies and the likes are just a bonus…
Me personally I would say that private votes are better if possible. But you should be able to filter when you're logged in what you upvoted and downvoted. That's how I would like it ideally.

Yeah I glanced over the article in search of a legal reason for the prohibition and it's not really talked about. The concerns raised by the protestors further in the article seem to have more legal ammunition. Really strange.

There is still hope for the 11 series. It all comes down whether MTE support will be confirmed or not. I expect we will have an answer in a couple months.
They aren't shipped with GrapheneOS because the developers of GrapheneOS explicitly don't want this. They dont want any possibility of some backdoor caused by the manufacturer to bring down their reputation.
It not being shipped with GrapheneOS is on purpose.
