Please note that it would be illegal to use the $5 killswitch device against a robot that you don’t own….

Real dogs are cheaper, work better, actually like you, and don't support the worst people in the world to make more dystopian technology.

Dogs are already incredibly capable, extremely motivated and extraordinarily trainable and adaptable, the idea of designing robots to replace them to me is absurd.

The dogs are to work with cops. They can't resist the urge to kill the dogs.

Seems only fair to make the cops work with robot dogs that have trouble resisting killing cops then.

Its just a practical concern. Dogs take time to train, robots just need an upload.

Dogs take some time to train and then repay that investment with their intuition and motivation to learn and interact, robots work as soon as you get them but they don't give any of this boost at all. Robots don't care either way whereas happy dogs usually actively want to make you happy and be good at doing a job that means something to "the pack" (which dogs understand through being praised and rewarded by the pack).

But on the other hand, when the American government at this point in time is acting almost solely against the interests of its own citizens and voters, is it really that bad of a thing to have autonomous robots and surveillance cameras that can be easily compromised? In fact, my recent unintentional YouTube transition from tech nerd to grey hat hackers because if push comes to shove, I want my followers to be able to know that they're not defenseless with stuff like this. And truly the only thing that's preventing us from turning our leaders dystopian technology against them is us choosing not to do it.

Well at least it's not more doomerism

Yep, good idea actually. Put military grade robots in rival countries and when you want to take over you activate them and use them to take out the local police and military forces all at once. Great sleeper program that doesn't rely on the typical human element. Makes the land invasion portion much easier when it's only civilians left.
