My response to the SOTU is the same as always: death to AmeriKKKan empire, and zero respect for monsters forever 🖕😈🏴

It's so cute that you think that other leaders wouldn't have done the same deal with Epstein if it meant they'd keep power.

Where did you get the idea that I think like that?

    Because you specified america?

Maybe you want to edit to something like 'Under capitalism all leaders are corrupt. They are all hiding something.'

I mean, realistically, most of the people in the Epstein files would be of more than a little interest to any foreign intelligence service. Do you really think Russia and China and India all weren't aware of Andrew's proclivities? None of them blew the whistle on the operation. Maybe Epstein was an asset, maybe they had people near him they wanted to protect.

Russia was definitely aware. China almost certainly.

The strange thing is that I didn't think of the other nations knowing about it until I read his comment about america.

Epstein was arrested in 2005. Every intelligence service in the world would have at least had an awareness of him.

Some very high level 'back scratching' going on here.

Thanks for explaining! First of all, that " curious 🤔" phrase was Kirk's (Rest in Piss) so I used it in joking manner.

Also the meme is about the USA so obv I talked about it. But it doesnt mean that im ok with the other countries either.

the meme is about america, so it makes sense to me that they would specify america, especially with the epstein files and such

At least he said some vaguely leftist things before launching into hours of racist anti-immigrant rhetoric and policy that'll get a lot of people killed. Preventing corporations from buying homes might be good if there's not some stupid loophole baked in. A universal 401k sounds okay at face value, but it's clearly a way to pump money into a collapsing stock market. Making AI companies pay for their own power would have been nice if it didn't mean that we would just be spending more tax money for them to build their own power plants (bonus: looks like company towns are coming back!)

Asking the 5-year-old girl that is currently relearning how to walk to stand up was some Parks and Rec-level shit.

some of those "leftist" things he said are couched within a framework of misleading right wing populism. i'm working out right now but i can explain later. basically all he said was he's gonna enrich himself and his wealthy donors, and he's gonna do it ALL FOR YOU!! the biggest one was him calling on congress to block congressional stock market trades. the law he is referencing actually undermines the emoluments clause and would allow him to do even more crypto pump and dump rugpulls from the bully pullpit.

Oh, I'm well aware there are some ulterior motives, as always. I'm concerned about the voters that will only take it at face value and be like "this is good for us! How can you possibly be against it?"

100%. and the people in his thrall are getting all their information straight from him or from outlets who only cover him in a positive manner like fox, newsmax, and now CBS. they think ICE is really protecting people like Ileyna Zarutska when ICE has killed 6x more Ukrainians this year alone than US citizens (he was a natural born citizen) riding transit, and have illegally detained at least 36 Ukrainians. just… to debunk one specific way the distortion field is working that i'm personally familiar with.

not to mention most of the people detained by ice in the Charlotte deployment throughout Appalachia have been good neighbors and friends whose only crime was being so desperate to escape their torturous poverty that they didn't fill out some forms.

just out here manufacturing consent for a fresh wave of genocide. while pretty typical of the state of the union since Woodrow Wilson (that racist fuck) changed the format, last night's was pretty eggregious. i'm having a meeting in about an hour with some people to discuss what was really said if you know how to recognize a conservative dogwhistle

edit: also, a rebuttal from an Appalachian. SHUT THE FUCK UP, BIGOT. YOU DON'T GET TO KILL MY NEIGHBOR JUST BECAUSE YOU SAID HE'S A TERRORIST. YOU COME FOR HIM, YOU HAVE TO GET THROUGH ME. NO PASARAN, ASSHOLE.

My actual response is "Did anything informative or interesting happen, or was he just lying with his stupid tired voice the whole time? Were any of the lies even interesting?"
