Given that only 22 noncitizens over the course of like 10 years (can't remember the exact statistic) tried to vote, the way to get the best accuracy would be to just hard code the answer to "yes, they can vote". Then you get over 99.99% accuracy.

As European I'm so confused by this. You just show your state ID and that's it, they check on paper that you voted, then you put your voting papers into the box.

Why is the Department of Homeland Security in charge of a program to check if people can get benefits?

Repeatedly checking the tool results in massive numbers of mistakes.

If you check the same person twice, the odds of a false positive increase exponentially.

So if it says I can't vote because I'm not a us citizen and my state bans me from voting for it, am I off the hook on taxes?

Just another tool for states to find enough votes for their candidates. These ones before the elections. After the elections they will be using signature matching and other dishonest means to disqualify voters from blue districts if it's needed to pull the state.

This is the least of their machinations as well. It's also worth mentioning in 2021 a lot of states gave their state legislatures the ultimate say in awarding electors, it had previously been assigned to the popular votes in all states. Georgia is one, that law you heard about that made it illegal to hand out food and water to voters in line? It cancelled the popular vote as determining electors, the legislature can now award them to the loser afterwards. But our media didn't really tell us that, still don't.

Idk all the states that did these, I think AZ did, TX's voter law in 2021 had that provision but it was stricken from the final bill. I think WI might have done it.

With all of the accumulated voter suppression, voter theft, and outright cheatery at play here, it's astounding we would continue to fight under these establishment democrats that have shown themselves unwilling and unable to win reliably, let alone restore our republic. Their raison de etre is preventing popular reform, not keeping the fascists intent on fixing elections out. They are in power as the "safe" choice. We have only had token opposition to them, in Bernie, whom I love, but he wasn't supposed to be a serious challenge but just a facade to keep the left on board with an illusion of choice as they spite and frustrate them at every turn.

And they almost lost to that token challenge anyway. I am a broken record here evangelizing for popular reform, because none of this means anything without good strong leadership, a group that knows how to build and run a political machine. We either get reform from fascists intent on permanently fixing elections to keep the worst people in the country in charge indefinitely, or we give them reform. The status quo will fall, the plutocratic rot is visible from the surface, everyone knows they are being screwed if not by whom. Either we channel their rage, or the right misdirects it, and destroys the republic in the process.

We are on the path to ruin and there is no way back fighting under the establishment democrats. Admit it, help us get leadership, we can win, we are stronger, we just need to unite under a champion(s.)
