    Your math is not right. The population of homeless is not static over time. The total population who have experienced homelessness and therefore may have received services over this period will be much larger than the current population.

    You're right, i wanted to provide a rough estimate of how much has been spent, as I feel people hear, "24 Billion!? how could that not solve all their problems" when really, 47k a year isn't a crazy high number when you consider the amount of help that is needed.
