Pretty cool to see that ~75% of the world population has internet access.

Maybe I’m not in the right spaces but it seems like mainland Chinese netizens are hard to come across on the web, given their market share.

    This is impressive evidence that there isn't "The Internet" any more.

    90% of the dots in this image basically never personally appear on what I perceive as "The Internet", which is just the Euro-North-American-centric bubble I happen to reside in.

    Kinda sad.

    So how is it that the "west" feels so dominant on the internet? I mean, know china has it's own relativly closed online ecosystem. Is the same the case for other big countries on this chart? Is there a ecosystem for india? For nigeria?

    Or is everybidy excluding china using the americanised version of the internet? As a german i'd say we just use american websites and apps, TikTok beeing the only relevant deviation to that i can think of right now.

    @mods

    FYI. This user is a new account spamming poor quality infographics for the last few hours.

    You’ve gone way too far spamming your labels on me and my posts. I’m not a damn bot! The top mods know me. It seems difficult for people to imagine that I’m just really engaged.
