Well, credit where credit is due I guess. It's not actual legalization, but it's welcome progress.

This was low-hanging fruit that the Democrats should have done under Biden but failed to for reasons I will never, ever understand. Anyone with eyes can see that this was eventually where things were headed.

Unfortunately for Trump, I still hate his guts. My opinion on him has been solidified after a decade of dealing with his bullshit, attacks on my community, and attacks on our democracy. He could send me a jar of premo buds but I wouldn't be able to get over the fact that he's a child raping shithead moron scumbag who is selling our country out and ruining people's lives. On the bright side, at least I can give an honest answer when people dare me to say one positive thing that Trump has done.

This was low-hanging fruit that the Democrats should have done under Biden but failed to for reasons I will never, ever understand.

The reason is simple: at the end of the day, he's crime bill biden. He didn't want to, so he pretended that he couldn't and ran out the clock. Democrats call this "incrementalism." Only reason trump's doing it is because he's trying to distract from how he's a pedo.

Biden made a pretty big show of ordering the FDA to perform its own bureaucratic machinations to determine an appropriate schedule for marijuana. They did it. It took them the better part of two years. Then he ordered the DOJ to evaluate how reclassifying would affect their department. That also took over a year.

He did it the slow and methodical way that makes shit work properly in the government. But he didn't strike the moment it was hot and it sat languishing for Trump to handle. So he did bungle it in standard capital D-Democrat fashion even though he deserves the credit for doing it the right way.

He dragged his feet in the slow and methodical way that makes sure nothing happens.

Sure is neat how it didn't take years of begging every federal employee for a no when it was something he wanted to do. He could ignore actual law to get weapons to netanyahu. Funny how all the excuses evaporate into nothingness for bibi.

Waa he didnt break the law when I wanted him too

He got a lot of shit done. He did it by knowing how the system works and pulling the appropriate levers in the correct order at the right times. Unfortunately congress made "Give Israel weapons to commit atrocities" a lever and he pulled that too.

Apparently not enough to secure the Democrats another presidential term.

Low info voters are gonna eat this up though. The Democrats and Biden made a massive mistake letting Trump be the one to push this to the finish line. It's like they want to lose.

Schedule III is still not legal. Testosterone is Schedule III and you can be arrested for possession. It would just mean state-level laws will actually be legal in the way they say they are; and possession should be punished less than, say, possession of fentanyl or heroin.

If Democrats take power, they could pass full legalization of Marijuana or other drugs. Alternatively Democrats currently in Congress could introduce a bill now to decriminalize/legalize Marijuana at the federal level. Sure, Republicans would have controlled the House and Senate, but the incumbent could report to their own district that they got a win.

Schedule 3 opens up legal financing options so dispensaries can start actually using banks and payment processors. It also gives the SC room to rule that Marijuana shouldn't disqualify gun purchases, which in turn means being a gun owner caught with weed won't be an instant felony. It's a massive change to the whole industry in legal states.

Those are some really good points. I didn't think about the gun purchase aspect.

Still, should there be a future Democrat administration; there is room to make positive change that the general population would feel.

If you phrase it like that, they'll never do it and they'll fight anyone who wants to.

If Democrats take power, they could pass full legalization of Marijuana or other drugs.

They could have done it the last two times they had power. They chose not to. And there is absolutely nothing that indicates that there is any circumstance under which they would.

    So would I.

After they demonstrated that they could get out of their own way when it was something they wanted to do, I'm bitter about the whole thing.

Genocide is the only thing I've seen them fight for. And until I see actions that indicate that they're willing to fight harder for anything than they fought to murder Palestinian children, It's the only thing they want.

The Democrats and Biden made a massive mistake letting Trump be the one to push this to the finish line.

I mean, they probably figured that he also wanted racist law enforcement to continue selective enforcement against minorities.

There is room to both criticize Democrats and Hate Trumps guts. -It's hard to ignore the fact that this is something Biden said he was going to do and then never actually got around to it.... even though all it apparently took was an executive order.

Avoid big canna. Buy from hemp farms and vendors. Wildwood, hoku seed co, secret nature, flow gardens, and dozens more.

What does this actually change? Also, why not just legalize it?

This was my biggest issue when Biden proposed it. It fundamentally changes nothing for most people. The states that outlaw weed will continue to do so claiming it's still a "federally controlled substance" and the states that already legalized it will continue to keep doing their thing. I guess you might be able to pay with a card instead of cash, though.

Not necessarily, schedule III is what testosterone is and it has plenty of sketchy producers and prescribers

Oh. Well, keep an eye out still.

They may try a similar trick as the UK did...

... where they moved cannabis to a different classification, then changed what the classification meant.
