Excellent! Liquid Glass was a failure, so maybe he can take expertise to Facebook.

Why do people hate it? I switched to apple around when Tahoe came out and have a iphone for work. I think it looks great. I don't know much about how it looked before, my last apple device before that was iphone 5. I think liquid glass keeps things minimal but also doesn't make every menu a plain boring solid color. Maybe it's harder to read if you have poor vision, which makes it objectively worse?? but my vision is fine so no problems for me.

Poor readability. It has nothing to do with poor vision, your brain is just likely better at filling in the gaps in its poor design. It's a shame, because I do like the aesthetic - the idea of it, I just think the execution could be better.

I don’t hate Liquid Glass, but it’s not great design.

I do like that it encourages less chrome and not in the god awful material design way.

The real issue is the lack of polish and consistency around it, especially on macOS where you have several different window radii and things like traffic lights not aligned or clipped.
