Le KDE plasma when you shake the mouse pointer:

Le KDE Track Mouse feature:

  • I know that Windows does this and the pointer grows a modest amount.

This... this feature just reeks of typical coder shenanigans, and I'm here for it. It's a green flag since someone thought enough about every contingency on a very niche feature.

What I think happened here is: an ideal size couldn't be agreed upon by the team, they just made the cursor grow forever until you're done shaking. That and someone involved has an absolutely stupid number of pixels in front of them and needed that much more cursor to get the job done.

So long as your wireless mouse doesn’t need to wake up and the 2 second lag in waking, connecting, and moving is just enough time for you to look at the wrong monitor and wonder.

    . . . Dangit

You only use two monitors? Also plasma fixes this. Sometimes I just shake my mouse to make the cursor massive for giggles

One of the first settings I change on any new system is to make the cursor green. Seems to help enormously with this.
