Fuel cells are totally underrated. I don’t know much about them for vehicles but they’re a way underutilized tech. I always loved to see them spring up when we built hospitals or banks, but they were mostly for alt systems and rare. Diesel generators were still the preferred.

Only issue I see here is with maintenance. Hydrogen vehicles have to be well maintained. It’s easier for commercial sector to guarantee that regular maintenance than for individuals.
