The week is okay! My friend's elderly cat passed away last week after a months-long health struggle, and that's been eating up a lot of our emotional space. That cat quite literally saved my friend's life (from a suicide attempt), so we all hold a lot of love and gratitude for this sweet little lady that we lost. Yesterday evening our friend group had a little tea party in her honor and poured her ashes into a little sugar jar that my friend found while thrifting over the weekend. It's a hard time, but I feel closer to my friend than ever, and coming together as a group to support one specific friend always gives me a sense of community that fills up my own cup.
