hi there so today i launch boost and get jumpscared by ads playing with sound on by default. i don't mind ads playing muted, but the default being sound on is incredibly infuriating. is this a bug?

While I agree it should be fixed. You could just pay the small bit of money for the ad free version and support the developers. I bought boost for Reddit and now Lemmy using Google survey money.
