They should be taken off the shelves entirely until they've proven they fixed it. This should hurt them good enough to let others break out a sweat and fix theirs too. Because no way is Samsung and all the others not doing the same.

the entire c suite should be killed in midnight raids with gratuitous collateral damage and shareholders deprived of a limb each.

this needs to be punished and examples made.

I'm with you on the extent, not on the kind of punishment. They should feel it though, that's for sure. And it should be costly enough for others to panic.

you don't creep on a thousand people in their bedroom and walk away. each of us should get to make a cut.

how many million of these were sold?no. fuck them. I saw a cop kill a homeless man for not responding to an order once. people who knew him said he was mostly deaf, no idea if it was true. the cop wasn't punished.

that kind if brutality needs to be turned on those who made it to protect them. they had millions of victims. they profited from harming us. i cant know if any of my stalkers bought data mined from my roommate's tv, but if i had been a slightly less imposing person this might have ended with me being seriously harmed. how many others were in my position? what is the actual human cost of this infraction?

they should not get to live. those who profited should not get to live full lives unmarked by their sins. investors should be more careful. a message needs yo be sent, and nothing fungible will do. they need to lose something we cannot fully replace.

I agree, but I don't agree with capital punishment. And I don't think the punishment matches the crime. They should bleed all the money and then some, and they should face prison time.

See the problem is these types have no remorse, they cannot be remediated. Theyll serve their sentences, bribe whomeever is needed tk get out early, and go write back to their crime sprees. These elite criminals need to be made afraid again.

see, I don't agree with prisons.

I think if you're going to have a society run on vice and kept in line with fear of punishment, and anything else seems to be derided as hippie shit because I'm living in orc world, the punishments should be scary.

prison is horrible, it makes you worse to suffer, it fucks up the people who run it too, and its very easy to make not-scary. you're still throwing a persons life away just like if you're killing them, but you're putting in this huge resource investment to feel morally superior and making both of you worse people in the process. its vile.

plus, I'd rather just have them out of the world and not released upon the next fascist regime. every time that happens it diminishes the effectiveness of the terror of prison. how many times has that happened in high profile cases just related to the current american regime?

We tried that for thousands of years and it doesn't work. But I mean you seem to live in a fantasy world, so just keep on believing in it. Maybe it makes you happy.

It does to a degree, yes. Not on the USA, because they misunderstand what's the point, but yes. The point by the way, is rehabilitation. Or keeping them from harming others. Not "being the worst dick of all time".

so, prison works and is good?

question though: what's the value if 'rehabilitating' a scum bag like this? is it more than the value of making an example of them? different populations react to different thing, and historically the wealthy react a lot to being tortured on camera

I don't want to live in a society driven by your ideal. And most others don't want either. What you want you can have right now. It exists and you can achieve it by simply moving to Afghanistan.

    I don't want

a world based on understanding and learning and growing and making things better and restorative justice? yeah I know. nobody else does, so I don't propose that shit. exterminating the guilty is a compromise with you fucking orcs.

You got me wondering how that works. The retailers have already paid, so that wouldn't hurt them immediately. Of course further orders would be shut off instantly.

Would the government order LG to buy back units already sold or is the retailer shit out of luck?
